I can’t express right now how sad I’m feeling… Today another star has died. Today we learnt that Alan Rickman, british actor and director, died of cancer. To some of you he is Hans Gruber from Die Hard, but to me and to my generation he is Severus Snape from Harry Potter!

He usually embodied villains like nobody else… We will never forget his amazing performance as the hateful teacher from Harry Potter who had a deep love for Lily Potter and who tried to protect her son, Harry. Or his Judge Turpin from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street who stole a daughter from her father and mother. Or one of the best villains from Die Hard, Hans Gruber the evil german mastermind. Also nobody will forget his funny character as Harry from Love Actually, the cheating man that in the end regrets his actions towards his wife…

He never won an Oscar, but he won many awards including a Golden Globe, an Emmy Award and a Bafta for his amazing roles in various movies.

There is no one better to talk about him or that knows him better than his family and friends. Matthew Lewis, Neville Longbottom from HP, said on his Instagram that Alan Rickman “inspired my career more than he ever knew”. J.K. Rowling also payed a little tribute saying on her Twitter page that “he was a magnificent actor and a wonderful man”. Lastly the famous Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe posted a heartbreaking post saying that “Film sets and theatre stages are all far poorer for the loss of this great actor and man”.

We lost a beloved actor, but his characters will stay with us “Always”… So raise your wands and pay a tribute to one of our favorite actors, Alan Rickman ladies and gentleman!
